I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and Systemic Practitioner, with two decades of experience working with adults and children across various mental health settings. I am registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society.
I have extensive experience working as an expert witness and providing neuropsychological assessments and interventions for adults, with and without complex needs. I am passionate about promoting comprehensive assessments leading to high quality reports, with meaningful insights and recommendations that result in genuinely positive impacts. I have experience of working within various court settings, and I regularly give evidence in court.
I draw upon my specialist professional training and experiences in direct working with adults with mental health problems, both with and without learning disabilities and/or autism. This includes providing consultations for professional and family support providers.
I also offer therapy for adults for a range of presenting problems, drawing on multiple approaches and have a specialist interest in systemic approaches. I have extensive experience working within NHS services, third sector providers and within private practice. Within my private psychotherapy practice, I have two main focuses; firstly, working with people who have a learning disability and/or autism, and secondly working with people who have experienced physical trauma and/or ongoing physical health issues.
I have experience with presenting at national conferences and seminars, and I am an honorary lecturer on a range of topics for several post-graduate training courses, including Doctoral level Clinical Psychology training courses.
I offer supervision to other qualified psychologists and health professionals. I have also supervised numerous Trainee Clinical Psychologists, and acted as a mentor for trainees. I have held several committee positions within the British Psychological Society and NHS.
