I have extensive training and experience in working with individuals with mental health difficulties and/or learning disabilities. My expertise in the application of neuropsychological and psychological assessments within complex case frameworks is fundamental in formulating the assessment results into concise and clear reports.

Expert Witnesses have a duty to the court to undertake valid, reliable and fair assessments that produce objective and clear reports. All of my reports include a review of relevant documents, a comprehensive clinical history and clinical observations to ensure the assessment results are formulated with all clinically relevant information, providing individualised and specific findings and recommendations, and not just a set of numbers and vague templated recommendations.

I feel it is important to remain mindful of the significant and wide-reaching impacts Expert Witness assessments may have for all parties going through court proceedings. Therefore, I am committed to the vital need to ensure reliable and valid assessment-based psychological opinions are at the heart of my work, leading to cohesive and concise reports, and provide an insightful formulation of the real-world expression of any findings.

Not only will instructing parties be confident in receiving reports which explain the person’s needs, there will also be the peace of mind that if further barriers or complexities are highlighted during the assessment, I will be able to work with these as complex cases is my area of specialism.

This includes discussions regarding the instruction to ensure specific and clear responses are in the report, highlighting any potential difficulties prior to the assessment to ensure sensitivity and responsiveness to individual needs, and separating out complexities to give focus to the assessment.
