I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and Systemic Practitioner who uses an integrative approach, which means that I use a range of evidence-based therapies in order to tailor sessions to fit the needs of the client. Some of the therapies I use are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Systemic approaches, Narrative Therapy, Compassion Focussed Therapy, Dialectic Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness. I also offer Trauma-Focussed CBT (TF-CBT).
I have a wealth of experience working with adults facing a range of psychological and mental health difficulties, and I have a specialist interest in working with the impacts of health conditions and/or physical trauma. I draw on decades of experiences working in physical and mental health services within the NHS and through private practice.
I enjoy combining my training and experience to work collaboratively and sensitively with clients to provide person-tailored psychological rehabilitation, to support and guide their recovery during and following difficult experiences.
Following an initial comprehensive clinical assessment, I create a therapeutic plan to map out the therapeutic support required, and how success will be reviewed and evaluated. I work closely with case managers to ensure clarity and productive communication.
I am an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and a registered Clinical Psychologist with the Health and Professions Council (HCPC).
